We individually handroll beads from recycling junk mail, magazine pages, old cards and cereal boxes. The colour of our jewellery is varied and determined by the actual paper we decide to use. There is no paint involved. The beads are sealed with clear varnish to make them shower resistant and gives them a shiny finish.
I started making paper bead jewellery as presents for my friends and quite quickly it has developed into a passion for recycling around the house. Now I have a growing collection of jewellery that can be purchased through www.folksy.com/shops/jayfa
As my children love to eat Cheerios I have made a necklace out of a used box.
